Facebook is not a fad

With more than 300 million users, Facebook has shown that it’s not going away anytime soon.  And now that 40, 50, and 60-somethings are signing on faster than their kids it’s clear that Facebook has completely broken through to become a mainstream social communications tool.  This isn’t to say that Facebook will be as important a player in a couple years (when was the last time you logged into your myspace page?) as fickle social networkers are a fickle bunch. What’s really clear though is that social networking is here to stay. And savvy communicators and marketers are right to be paying attention.Marketplace
